<p>Kirby Muxloe Castle, also known as Kirby Castle, is an unfinished 15th century fortified manor house in Kirby Muxloe, Leicestershire.  It was a brick-built fortified mansion, built for Lord Hastings. It sits in ruins now with a complete corner tower, and is being conserved by English Heritage. One of the few castles in England to have a wet moat of water moat...most soils are too porous...the moats are 60 ft (18 m) wide.  Kirby Muxloe Castle, Leicestershire is an unfinished 15th century fortified manor house in Kirby Muxloe surrounded by a moat.<br />
